Amid the expansion of AIS’s business operations and digital infrastructure—accompanied by increasingly diverse working arrangements and more complex safety risks, particularly in field operations and work conducted with contractors—AIS recognizes that effective management of occupational health, safety, and the working environment is a fundamental foundation for sustainable business growth. The Company therefore adopts a proactive management approach, with a clear commitment to achieving zero work-related accidents and injuries (Zero Accident). This is achieved by integrating safety principles into all levels of business operations and prioritizing risk prevention at the source through the development of robust systems and measures, as well as fostering safety awareness among employees, business partners, and contractors, to create a safe working environment that supports the well-being of all personnel.

Management Approach

The Company is committed to providing a safe, healthy, and conducive working environment that supports efficient operations. AIS prioritizes the prevention of occupational accidents and work-related illnesses, while continuously enhancing occupational health and safety standards. The Company’s safety and working environment management covers all categories of workers and is implemented through a clearly defined management approach structured into two main groups—AIS employees and contractors—to ensure that safety measures are appropriate to the nature of work and effective in mitigating risks.

  1. Occupational Health and Safety Management for AIS Employees: The Company manages occupational safety and the working environment for AIS employees through regular risk assessments and safety audits to prevent workplace hazards, enhance workplace conditions, and address non-compliance with established standards. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided to employees engaged in high-risk activities, in line with the nature of their work. In addition, the Company conducts safety and emergency preparedness training to strengthen awareness and response capabilities in potential emergency situations, while continuously promoting a strong safety culture across the organization. These measures contribute to reducing workplace accidents, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering a safe and supportive working environment.
  2. Occupational Health and Safety Management for Contractors: Contractors are required to comply with applicable safety requirements, as well as relevant laws and regulations. All contractors must complete job-specific safety training under the AIS Safety Passport program and use personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with prescribed standards. The company also conducts Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to identify potential hazards and define appropriate preventive and control measures. In addition, contractors are required to complete pre-work readiness checks (Safety Self-Checks), and the Company carries out regular monitoring to ensure compliance with AIS safety standards. These practices reinforce a strong safety culture among contractors, contributing to effective risk mitigation, improved work efficiency, and enhanced trust across the business value chain.

The Company requires all contractors to complete occupational health, safety, and working environment training prior to commencing work. Training records for all contractors are collected and managed through the My Network application, which serves as a centralized database for monitoring contractors’ safety readiness. This process is supported by a structured on-site safety inspection plan to ensure contractors’ compliance with safety requirements specified in the terms of reference (TOR) and applicable regulations under the AIS Safety Passport program.
