Corporate Mission
To be a brand associated with safe and responsible use of the Internet and social media by all users
According to statistics of worldwide internet usage from the Digital 2022 Global Overview, the study of Thailand Internet Users in 2022 discovered that 77.8% of Thais use the Internet an average of 9.06 hours/day. The average Thai internet usage is higher than the worldwide average, which is somewhat worrying and a cause for concern. If users lack knowledge or conduct themselves incorrectly, they may fall prey to hidden dangers from many modes of Internet usage, such as Internet scams conducted by scammers, or online scams through email, Facebook or other social media platforms. The scams have evolved to better score the desired targets, such as call center scams, hybrid scams and romance scams.
There is also data from the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB). Their surveys of scams on the Internet and other modern communications channels from January to March 2022 among members of the public aged 17-77, found that 48.1% of this sample had experienced at least one scamming attempt per year. Of these, 42.6% had fallen victim to a scam, with losses or damage averaging 2,400 THB per person. The data found that Gen Y, born between 1980 and 1997, and Gen Z, born after 1997, were scammed more than Gen X, born between 1965 and 1979. Meanwhile, Baby Boomers, born between 1946 and 1964, suffer the highest losses from each individual scam. The most frequent scams are email/SMS, while the category of scam with the most victims is buying products online resulting in product no-show after payment. 82.6% of people fell victim to such scams.
In overall consideration of this issue, AIS as a Cognitive Tech-co service provider must be aware of its need to engage in promoting digital literacy among the Thai public. AIS believes that developing Digital Literacy is key to addressing this issue. It is the armor against any kind of cyber threat. Moreover, AIS is on a mission to generate mutual growth of people and the environment in the digital world, bringing access to everyone in society, which is aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDG 4 is about creating guarantees that all people have equal access to Quality Education and supporting lifelong learning. There is a focus on the guarantee that all boys and girls have access to primary and secondary education for free. AIS has developed the digital platform “LearnDi by AIS Academy” as part of giving the Thai public access to knowledge outside of traditional frameworks for resilience and sustainable growth for Thais of every gender and age group, be being able to learn for free.

Building awareness of the dangers and potential impacts of using the Internet and other tech
AIS raises awareness of the dangers and impacts of internet and technology use by providing information to promote digital literacy and encourage creative online engagement. Through public relations activities and campaigns across diverse social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and TikTok, AIS aims to reach audiences of all genders and ages, building resilience for sustainable digital living.
On “Stop Cyberbullying Day”, observed annually on the third Friday of June, AIS has consistently organized campaigns and activities to advocate against online bullying as follows:
ปี 2025
AIS Aunjai CYBER, as a trusted digital companion for all generations of Thais, is committed to making 2025 the “Year of Cybersecurity.” Through the campaign “A New Smile, Close to You,” AIS spreads positivity in line with this year’s global theme set by the CyberSmile Foundation – “Words are Permanent.” The campaign calls on everyone in Thailand to recognize the power of words and to share kind messages that bring about “new smiles” for those around them.
According to the Thailand Cyber Wellness Index (TCWI) 2024, Thais generally have a high level of awareness about online bullying. However, more than 42% of children and adolescents remain at risk because they lack the skills to cope with harmful speech and hate speech in the digital world.
On this year’s Stop Cyberbullying Day, AIS Aunjai CYBER joins hands in spreading positivity through the “A New Smile, Close to You” campaign. The initiative encourages all Thais to pause before typing and think before commenting, combining creativity with interactive tools such as Sticker Tattoos and TikTok Filters.
To amplify engagement, the campaign also harnesses the influence of KOLs and viral creators:
Tangmo - Sayapa (Sayamo): a popular TikTok creator who first rose to fame through The Voice and recently re-emerged in the spotlight as “Sayamo” with her retro-style fashion content.
Mai - Loren: an inspiring influencer full of positivity and confidence, representing LGBTQ+ diversity as a member of the Powerpuff GAY group.
Thammachart: a TikTok influencer dedicated to producing fun, safe, and non-harmful content, using social media to spread positivity in creative ways.
Together, these voices play a vital role in raising awareness among Gen Z and encouraging young people to actively participate in fun and engaging activities that promote mindful communication, foster kindness online, and create a healthier digital society.
ปี 2024
For this year’s Stop Cyberbullying Day, AIS Aunjai CYBER focuses on empowering everyone to stay confident in self-expression and to rise above insults and discrimination. We believe that not everyone can overcome such painful experiences, which is why recognizing one’s self-worth is the best way to cope with online bullying.
As part of the campaign, AIS highlights the inspiring story of RAP Ake (Narawut Amnuay), a rapper who has long stood against all forms of cyberbullying. Having endured emotional harm online throughout his life, he overcame it by valuing himself and his passion. Today, with over 10 years of music experience and a strong fan base, he is widely recognized for his signature rap phrase: “Ai-ya! Chai Chai.”
Sharing his collaboration with AIS, RAP Ake advises:
“I want young people creating content online to take things step by step, learn to listen, and choose what is good and meaningful for themselves and society. That is what helps you move forward. For me, I love making music. I’ve tried many styles and faced countless negative comments, but encouragement from my family and fans kept me going. Even when told to stop singing, I continued, fought through the pain, and proved myself through my music. That’s what gave me strength and recognition today. Ai-ya! Chai Chai.”
During Stop Cyberbullying Day, AIS Aunjai CYBER served as a central hub for fostering collaboration across all sectors to drive positive change in Thailand’s digital society. The initiative highlighted key insights and behaviors for further action—not only reflecting losses of more than 2.3 billion baht from online scams such as fraudulent product and service sales, work-from-home schemes, and loan scams, but also revealing, through the AIS Spam Report Center, that over 1.6 million scam phone numbers and SMS messages had been reported, leading to ongoing suppression efforts.
At the same time, the Thailand Cyber Wellness Index 2023 indicated that senior citizens and certain regions remain at higher risk. Moreover, while 87.97% of Thais are aware of cyberbullying, there are still critical digital skills that need strengthening—particularly in digital rights, digital relationships, and online communication. These findings reinforce the urgent need to enhance all-around digital literacy to build resilience and ensure long-term online safety for the Thai people.
ปี 2022
This year, AIS is addressing the long-standing issue of bullying that affects everyone, often starting with something as simple as name-calling. Through the campaign “Please Call Me by My Name,” AIS encourages Thai youth and society to recognize the serious impact of such actions. What may seem like harmless teasing among friends can cause deep emotional scars, lasting trauma, and even fuel social conflict, hatred, and violence—leading to tragedies witnessed both in Thailand and around the world.
ปี 2021
On Stop Cyberbullying Day 2021, AIS Aunjai CYBER reaffirmed its role as a trusted digital companion for every generation of Thais under the theme “Think before you comment, think before you share, stop online bullying.” The campaign featured Kheun Pattaradnai as a prominent voice, sharing his perspective and encouragement to promote safe and respectful online spaces.
According to the Department of Mental Health, Thailand ranks fifth globally in cyberbullying, highlighting the persistent risks and gaps in digital literacy. AIS remains dedicated to raising awareness and fostering constructive online behavior, reminding everyone that even a few words can leave lasting scars. Together, we can create a safer and more sustainable digital society.
