What is Thailand Cyber Wellness Index?
We are familiar with the concept of measuring Intelligence Quotient (IQ), or Emotional Quotient (EQ) which are indicators of our abilities in various fields, so that we can see where we need to improve, or what skills we are lacking which require further development. Today, Thailand will gain another measure of skills in cyberspace for the first time,
" Thailand Cyber Wellness Index "

Thailand Cyber Wellness Index rests on a basis of extensive research achieving the highest accuracy. AIS has been able to collaborate with government-funded bodies such as King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) alongside cyber-security experts focussed on tech end use cases such as technology itself, the media, education, and benchmarking/assessment.Thus evolved the design of educational concepts, processes and methods to evaluate effectiveness, the specification of target segments and analysis, which became the Thailand Cyber Wellness Index
Thailand Cyber Wellness Index is divided into 3 levels
ADVANCED LEVEL
Users with skills and knowledge to use digital tech correctly, securely and responsibly, and keeping up with the latest cyber-threats. Critically, they are well able to advise people around them to acquire digital skills.
BASIC LEVEL
Users with skills and knowledge to use digital tech and cyberspace correctly, securely and responsibly.
IMPROVEMENT LEVEL
Users with inadequate knowledge to use digital tech who are at risk of cyber threats.

TCWI 2025 data collection found that the national average TCWI score was 0.70, which falls into the Basic level. The proportion of Basic level was 46.27%, Advanced level was 38.43%, and improvement needed level was 15.3%.

All age groups are at the "basic" level, with the lowest being children aged 10-12 years, followed by those aged 13-15 years, and the elderly (over 60 years) respectively.
Individuals with careers as Civil servant have the highest overall Thailand Cyber Wellness Index (0.83), followed by state enterprise employees (0.78) and private company employees (0.75). The occupational group with the lowest average, which urgently needs improvement, is Unemployed (0.62) and student (0.65).
The average overall Thailand Cyber Wellness index for each region does not differ significantly, with variations within Mean±0.02. The proportion of individuals at each level is similarly distributed across the regions.
