AIS Joins Environmental Effort by Ending use of Plastic Bags from 1 Jan. ’20, Offering Bio-Degradable Bags

AIS has moved forward with its key social agenda of upgrading environmental and life quality in Thailand with “Mission Green 2020”, targeting a reduction in CO2 emissions by over 1,000,000 kgCO2e. In accordance with the effort, AIS has taken on a government policy to cease use of single-use plastic bags at AIS shops and Serenade Clubs across the country starting 1 January, 2020. Assisting customers where necessary, bio-degradable plant-based bags complying with the GS Compostable standard will be offered.
