Mr. Pratthana Leelapanang, AIS's Chief Consumer Business Officer, explained that “the COVID-19 situation that has been prevailing since the start of this year has led to significant changes to daily living and led to many people working and learning via online applications accessed through both home and mobile internet networks, necessitating that these digital infrastructures operate efficiently and seamlessly”.

On top of maintaining the optimal operation of these networks, AIS has also sought to offer online solutions and tools that provide the Thai people with both quality and safety, leading to the announcement of its cooperation with Microsoft Thailand under the “Teams for Thailand” project, providing free Office 365 - E1 licenses in support of organizations and registered SMEs working from home. Available to users on all networks (not only AIS), the licenses last for 6 months and come with installation of the smart communication application Microsoft Teams by experts for free. Registration for the licenses were opened in March 2020 alongside the offering of Work from Home packages and solutions bundled with Office 365 at special prices and have been well received.
